American Witchhazel Hamaelis virginiana
Yellow bronze fall foliage. This shrub can grow 15-20 feet tall with a similar spread. Grows best in well-drained sites but will tolerate clayey or heavy soils and can survive in a variety of moisture conditions. The fragrant flowers with crinkly, ribbon-shaped yellow petals bloom in late fall. The plant will spread by root suckering and is deer resistant too.
